The daughters demanded to inherit their father's land in Numbers 27:2-7. Moses and his advisors needed God to tell them that the daughters spoke right and demanded properly.

Hannah, from the Hebrew Bible is the Jewish model of prayer. She was the first person, in a time of animal sacrifice, to go directly to God to plead for a child. Her prayer was answered with the birth of the prophet, Samuel.

This piece depicts the story of Dinah from Chapter 34 of the book of Genesis. Dinah was the daughter of Jacob and Leah. She was raped. Dinah is depicted by a chuppah with broken goblets under it. Outside of the chuppah with her back facing it stands Leah.

This quilt celebrates the many unnamed women in the Hebrew Bible. For example, we know Noah had a wife, and we know she worked hard keeping the arc clean, but we do not know her name.
